Trips and Visits
Excellence in education comes not just from within the classroom, but from what children experience outside the classroom. Today’s students are visual learners, and a field trip lets them touch, feel and listen to what they’re learning about, which helps them build on classroom instruction, gain a better understanding of topics, build cultural understanding and tolerance, and expose them to worlds outside their own. The range of trips that we provide for the students at Anfield School achieve this.Field trips are fully integrated into the curriculum throughout the school so that children within each year group have the opportunity to participate. They enable students to engage with content in a variety of ways and students in our mainstream classes and in our St. Bosco Centre take part in trips each term within Hong Kong. Throughout the year, all students have the opportunity to attend trips that link directly to the topic they are learning in class, such as The Botanical Gardens, Ocean Park, the Science Museum and the Cube Discovery Park, a theatre trip and each year group will also join a trip connected to their Mandarin Learning.
