Forest Schools
Due to the opportunity to explore nature within our own playground surroundings at our Yuen Long campus we are delighted to be able to provide students at our St. Bosco Koon Ying School the opportunity to explore learning through the Forest Schools approach. Forest School is a child-centred learning process that offers opportunity for holistic growth through regular sessions outdoors. The programme supports play, exploration and supported risk taking within our students. It helps them to develop confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in nature and its surroundings.
Our teaching staff are trained in using the Forest School method for learning and use this to assist students in further developing socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and intellectually. Through the Forest School approach we are inspiring our students to develop a deep and meaningful connection to the world around them, and to help them understand where they fit within it.
