Executive Headteacher’s Message
At Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School, we provide British educational excellence, nurturing both hearts and minds.
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School through our website. I trust that you will gain insight into our unique provision and hope that this will encourage you to visit and find out more about our ‘special place’.
My background in education globally extends over 30 years, incorporating the leadership roles of Headteacher and also Leadership and School Improvement Adviser. Being part of the esteemed Anfield Group, previously as Principal of Anfield School (Tai Wai campus) for eight years, has been a real privilege and one which I have valued greatly.
It has always been my aim to instill, in each and every child, a set of attributes, skills and values that will enable them to make informed choices, enjoy lifelong learning and achieve personal fulfilment. Your child, during their time with us, will also develop the ability to stretch themself, learn with courage and explore new avenues. Our children are inspired to aim high and achieve their potential in an atmosphere of supportive endeavour. Respectful informality is a characteristic of our happy school.
I am extremely proud of our personalised learning environment and hope you will accept my sincere invitation to come and see us at work and at play – experience the unique family atmosphere of Anfield St. Koon Ying School for yourself!
With kind regards,
Head of School’s Message
As the founding Head of School, I am honoured to welcome and introduce you to Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School. As you explore our school’s website, I hope you gain an insight into our truly unique, specialist educational provision. We, at Anfield, pride ourselves on the quality of our British educational excellence and our personalised, joyful learning environment. We are a school committed to celebrating our community and fostering strong, collaborative partnerships.
The foundation of Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School is built upon the Catholic ethos and inspired by St. Bosco; nurture, warmth and respect permeate our educational offer to build character, moral development and instil lifelong values. ‘Educating Hearts and Minds’ is palpable amongst our students and staff, as we believe in educating the whole individual child to realise their fullest potential. I am committed to ensuring that our dedicated and experienced staff members provide a welcoming, safe and thriving environment in which every child can prosper. Whilst we measure our school’s success on the academic achievement of our students, I place great value on developing a lifelong vivacity for learning, and an understanding of our diverse world, building social responsibility and moral values that promote well-rounded development.
My background in education includes working in schools in the United Kingdom, with over eight years’ experience in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I have worked within a variety of settings with a range of needs and, as a Senior Leader for the last several years, I have dedicated myself to student wellbeing and the development of an adapted English National Curriculum for SEND learners. I am passionate about inclusive education and firmly believe every child deserves to receive an education that develops their academic potential and self-reliance skills. With a wealth of SEND experience and a background of school improvement and development work, I am privileged and enthusiastic to lead such a fantastic school which is determined to support our students in fulfilling their individual goals.
We actively encourage strong partnerships with parents and professionals alike, and value their dedicated support. I look forward to meeting with prospective parents at our Open Days and Briefing Sessions throughout the year, and eagerly invite you to visit our warm and welcoming school to experience, for yourself, our unique Anfield family atmosphere.
