Welcome to Anfield School

Introducing Anfield School, a private, independent Catholic Primary school for boys and girls from Year One to Year Six providing students with an exceptional British education in a world city location. Anfield School uses English as the medium for teaching and learning. In addition, there is also a strong emphasis on the acquisition of Chinese (Putonghua) as a second language. The school is situated in a scenic location near the Lion Rock Country Park at Tai Wai, Shatin. An innovative, state-of-the-art campus provides an excellent educational facility with play areas and a sports arena on a compact site whilst retaining a sense of space and open vistas.

Our purpose-built, 21st century-fit campus has wireless internet access and fully networked classrooms all with interactive smart boards for digital learning, a STEAM Lab with the latest resources available fully integrated into learning and teaching, a well stocked library, a multipurpose hall, a music and composition suite, an art and design studio, a fully mirrored dance and drama studio, a language laboratory and dedicated spaces for specialist teaching, individual and group learning activities. A green and spacious play area specifically designed to be safe, child-friendly and stimulating surrounds the school.

The school day starts at 8.00am with academic lessons ending at 3.30pm. An extended curriculum is provided from 3.30pm to 4.30pm after-school sporting and artistic activities for all students on Monday and Wednesday. Further optional activities such as additional sports activities, music tuition and computing activities (STEAM, Coding etc.) are offered from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

There are two classes in each year group with an excellent ratio of teachers and students. The classroom is where most activities take place, but as indicated above, learning is extended beyond the children’s classroom with the use of dedicated specialist teaching rooms and the external environment.

Reasons to join Anfield

At Anfield, our students study the English National Curriculum, giving them the opportunity to develop a solid foundation of learning.

St. Bosco Centre

At Anfield, we provide a range of additional support mechanisms for our students. Our St. Bosco Centre provides a modified curriculum, based on skills needed to access the National Curriculum expectations.

Extra Curricular Activities

Our students undertake ECAs activities twice a week where they can explore a range of learning opportunities e.g. S.T.E.A.M, coding, painting, sport, wellbeing etc.

Student Leadership

At Anfield, we believe that students should have opportunities to make decisions and carry out leadership tasks across the school. All year groups have a Student Council Representative, a Digital Leader and an International Mindedness Ambassador who is elected by their peers.

21st Century Learning

Our purpose built S.T.E.A.M lab supports the use of technology and hands-on experiences for our students. All classrooms have access to iPads to support their learning and an IWB to further enhance the teaching and learning experience for all.

International Mindedness

At Anfield, we support our students in embracing a range of opinions and cultures. We help them to thrive within a global community where thinking critically, creatively and collaboratively is an essential part of an ever-changing world.

Best Anfield

As a family school community, Anfield provides the highest quality education, developing independent and critical thinking skills and a love of learning in a culturally aware Catholic environment. The school values and encourages the characteristics of honesty, integrity, responsibility, commitment, courtesy, tolerance, self-discipline, consideration and respect for others and the environment in all our students as we help them prepare to live in a complex and changing world.
