Message from the Head of School
Children learn as they play; most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.
— Fred Donaldson
I am thrilled to have joined the Anfield family as the new Head of School at Anfield International Kindergarten in Kowloon Tong alongside our newly appointed Deputy Headteacher, Miss Brogan Fraser-Standaloft. We are both looking forward to bringing our U.K. educational experience to the children and families of Anfield in Hong Kong.
I am passionate about the early years and understand the importance of a child’s developing years for their future academic success and ongoing wellbeing. Anfield International Kindergarten is a vibrant international school dedicated to fostering a loving, joyful community. Our school motto ‘Educating Hearts and Minds’ underpins the supportive environment you will find here, where everyone is challenged and encouraged to thrive both intellectually and spiritually. This helps our children to develop the fundamental skills required to become pioneering global citizens for a better tomorrow.
At Anfield International Kindergarten, we embrace and celebrate the rich cultural diversity that each child brings, recognising the unique qualities that make us all special. We are committed to offering the very best education for the children in our care, providing personalised challenges that encourage each child to reach their highest potential, all while maintaining a focus on academic excellence. Our approach is grounded in a forward thinking, progressive British curriculum that equips students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
Our teachers create vibrant and welcoming environments where learning becomes a joyful experience. Through playful and interactive methods, teachers support the intellectual and spiritual development of every child within the Kindergarten. By nurturing curiosity and creativity, students are supported to build a genuine love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, we aim to foster a community where children grow not only academically, but also in character and faith, finding meaningful ways to connect their education with their own spiritual journey.
I look forward to welcoming you to our campus and to a truly rewarding year full of individual and collective successes.
