Programmes

Anfield International Kindergarten is a private, co-educational Catholic school dedicated to providing young children with an enriching, stimulating and caring environment in which to develop, learn, and become equally proficient for progression into either local or international primary school systems. We offer a British curriculum through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in an international setting.

Anfield International Kindergarten is founded on our conviction that children’s moral, social, and physical development are as important as their intellectual development. Our mission is to provide young children with a safe and caring environment away from home, in which they can prepare for their future education and at the same time take the first steps towards becoming well-rounded individuals.

Anfield International Nursery is a private, co-educational Catholic institution dedicated to providing young children aged 2-3 years old with an enriching, stimulating and caring environment in which to develop, learn, and become equally proficient for progression into either local or international primary school systems. We offer a British curriculum in an international setting.

Anfield International Nursery is founded on our conviction that children’s moral, social, and physical development are as important as their intellectual development.

Our mission is to provide young children with a safe and caring environment away from home, in which they can prepare for their future education and at the same time take the first steps towards becoming well-rounded individuals. It is excellent preparation for kindergarten and enables children to make a very smooth transition between our Nursery and Kindergarten, as they continue to learn through the EYFS Curriculum.

Anfield International Nursery and Anfield International Kindergarten are a “through-train”, under the Anfield British educational umbrella, sharing the same mission and vision and following the same philosophy and teaching methodology. All Nursery applications are directly linked therefore with the Kindergarten applications. Nursery children will automatically enter Kindergarten 1 in the following academic year.

Children attend Nursery for three hours per day, five morning, or five afternoon sessions per week.

Medium of Instruction: English
Specialist Teaching: Mandarin, Physical Education and Music
Excellent teacher pupil ratio:

One teacher for a maximum of 7 pupils

Students are unaccompanied when they reach 2 years

Toilet-training is not essential

Child-friendly induction

Curriculum

The curriculum for our nursery is based on the British National Curriculum’s Early Years Foundation Stage. We include the same 7 areas of learning.

Our belief is that children learn by “doing” to become independent, confident learners. We have a child-centred approach to learning in which the moral, physical, creative, social and emotional development of the child is as important as his/her intellectual development.

We aim to provide a learning environment in which children :

  • have opportunities to learn through investigation, exploration, and discovery within a disciplined yet caring and stimulating environment.
  • are motivated to learn through being actively involved in purposeful activities and play.
  • feel confident about tackling new situations and are prepared to think for themselves and act independently.
