Mandarin
Mandarin is the standardised language used by the Chinese and other people from different countries within Asia. Learning Mandarin provides an opportunity to learn the Chinese language and culture. At Anfield School, we use traditional Chinese characters.
All our Kindergarten and Nursery children have Mandarin sessions each day for up to thirty minutes. The teaching of Mandarin works alongside the themes our children follow within their English class. Throughout the children‘s time in Kindergarten we aim to teach the children a range of vocabulary including greetings, colours, shapes, and conversational language.
