Educating Hearts & Minds
On receipt of your application you receive a confirmation email which will be followed up by more details from our Admin team about arranging an interview at the school for your child.
Parents are sent information about the teacher’s name and the name of their child’s class via email over the summer break, or on entry if ‘jumping in’ throughout the year. There is a Meet the Teacher event held in school for new students in August and a parent social event with families and staff in September.
Yes, Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School runs a compulsory school bus service except those who live outside of walking distance from the school. Costs, timings and routes are available through the school admin office. Payment and registration for the service is on a termly basis. There are also good public transport links to the campus. Parents cannot use private cars as there is no parking near the school and it is in a residential village area.
Primary school children have a snack each morning during break which they bring from home. This should be a healthy option, no lollipops or sweets are allowed. School does not provide snack for students.
Students bring their own lunch each day – we have no on-site catering facilities. Please note we do not accept outside food deliveries.
The school uniform is purchased through our Administration Office, our team will be happy to assist parents with this.
Several staff members on campus are first aid trained. If we are concerned about any child who may be exhibiting symptoms of sickness or injury, we contact parents immediately. If it is a small injury (scrape, scratch or bruise), we are able to deal with it on campus, but parents are always notified via the Anfield app medical form.
You should notify the Admin office if your child is unable to attend a session or you can let us know via the Anfield App.
Yes, included within our school fees is regular access either individually, in small groups or through in-class learning, to our full time on-site Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist.
We love our parent volunteers here at Anfield! All parents are automatically members of Friends of Anfield when their child joins the school with some choosing to volunteer for committee roles. Even if you do not have the time to be on the committee, we have parent volunteers who help with Friends of Anfield events throughout the year, such as Fruit Friday, Christmas Lunch, Santa visit, Chinese New Year Party, Easter Egg Hunt and more!
Mandarin is a language taught across all of our Anfield campuses. Mandarin provides students exposure to a language that is spoken around the world and for some is already their native language. All classes have a daily Chinese Studies lesson.
Our model consists of a Class Teacher and 2-3 Teaching Assistants in each class depending on the needs of the students. We believe in providing focused support for our learners throughout their educational journey.
Unfortunately Anfield does not have a secondary school, but Hong Kong offers an increasing range of International secondary school options for students with additional needs. We prepare students to transition to the next stage of their learning journey and work with parents to help make the right choices to support their child’s individual learning style and needs.
We welcome visitors, please contact us to schedule a school tour.
