Assessment

Assessment is central to our curriculum and essential for effective teaching and learning. It allows teachers to tailor their instruction to meet the individual needs of pupils whilst ensuring they are challenged appropriately.
At Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School, we utilise assessment to:

• Help pupils recognise their achievements and identify areas for growth.
• Enable teachers to plan and differentiate instruction based on pupils’ strengths and needs.
• Inform parents about their child’s progress and how they can support their learning.

We track progress using the U.K. B Squared programme, which allows us to celebrate each step of progress our pupils make. This system is implemented across all Anfield campuses, ensuring a smooth transition for pupils when they move between schools. It also enables us to share each pupil’s history and progress effectively.
At the end of each academic year, some pupils will complete the U.K. Phonics Screening Check to assess their reading progress.
