Our Parents In Partnership

At Anfield we recognise the enormous benefit of working closely and in partnership with our parents. We value the opportunity to share your child’s learning journey with you in different ways throughout the school year and want to support your understanding of the learning and teaching which is taking place in our school.

Sharing the learning journey with you

Throughout the year, we host a number of parent workshops in order to facilitate a strong learning partnership between home and school. Through attendance at these events, parents feel empowered to support their child’s learning and are better informed about the methodologies and practises being used in the classroom. Each year we host curriculum based workshops led by our Chinese Studies Team and English and Maths Subject Leaders. As part of a rolling programme, we also incorporate current themes within education e.g. S.T.E.A.M, Wellbeing and Technology in our World.

Our Students

At Anfield School our students are the heart of our school community. We value the opportunity to educate their ‘hearts and minds’ through the learning experiences that we provide, and welcome the rich and diverse backgrounds that they bring to our school community.

We offer each and every student within Anfield the opportunity to achieve success and to feel empowered to tackle new challenges.

Our Anfield students are able to access further learning opportunities at a wide range of High Schools in Hong Kong and abroad, through their experiences within the rich and diverse learning environment that we have provided during their primary school years.

We value each and every student within our school community and welcome the opportunity to provide an inclusive learning environment within which everyone is respected and supported.

Friends of Anfield (FOA)

Friends of Anfield (FOA) is our voluntary parents’ association, working in partnership with the school to support our students and community.

Its main objectives are:

  • To promote Anfield.
  • To provide practical assistance in various areas of the school.
  • To act as a forum for discussion.
  • To promote and assist in fundraising projects.
  • To organise social activities and events that bring the school family together.

Membership in Friends of Anfield is automatic upon joining the school. While FOA is not a policy-forming body and does not address academic matters, issues raised at the Committee’s meetings may be put forward for further discussion by the Head of School, Staff, and Board if the Committee wishes. The Committee comprises parents of students from various year groups represented in the school, along with the Head of School.
Our Friends of Anfield volunteers support the school in a range of activities throughout the year, including:
 • Weekly Fruit Friday tuck shop
 • Organising a visit from Santa Claus at Christmas
 • Lantern Festival party games
 • Easter egg hunt around the school
 • End-of-year party and gifts for students
 • Christmas Market stall
 • Anfield Fair food stall
